What the work is really like, from the women already doing it

This is not a recruitment advert. It is what the work involves, including the parts that are hard.

The Xoot team

You are not applying for a job

You are building a book of clients. You choose which work you take, you set when you are available, and you decline what does not fit without explaining yourself.

That freedom is real and it cuts both ways: nobody hands you a full week. The Xooters doing best are the ones who treat the first few bookings as the start of a client list rather than a shift.

The vetting, and why it is strict

Identity verification, a liveness check, and background clearance. It takes longer than signing up somewhere that asks for nothing.

It is strict because it is the reason a woman lets you into her home while she is at work. The badge is worth something precisely because it cannot be self-awarded — on our system a Xooter cannot mark her own checks as passed. That protects you as much as her: nobody can claim your standard without meeting it.

The parts that are hard

Some homes are further than they look, and travel is time you are not paid for. Some clients brief badly. Some weeks are quiet.

What makes it work is repeat clients — the same homes, week after week, where you already know the house and the pay is predictable. Everything in how Xoot is built pushes towards that, because it is better for you and better for her.

Building a book that holds

The Xooters who make this work treat the first month as recruitment, not as shifts. A client who books you again is worth more than three who book once, so the effort goes into being the person a household wants back.

Concretely: turn up when you said, say something before a problem becomes a surprise, and learn one thing about each home that means the next visit needs no briefing. That is what converts a booking into a standing arrangement, and a standing arrangement is what makes the income predictable.

Quick answers

Do I need my own equipment?

Requirements are set out during application, and the answer differs by service. Nothing is assumed.

How much can I earn?

It depends on how many bookings you take and where. We do not publish a figure, because a number that is not true for you is worse than no number.

Can I work only certain days?

Yes. You set your availability and change it. Declining a job has no penalty attached.
