The arithmetic behind what a Xooter takes home

Commission, the booking fee, and why the rate per hour goes down on longer jobs — with a floor under it.

The Xoot team

A booking total is not a payslip

The amount a customer sees and the amount a Xooter takes home are different figures. Service charges, platform commission, booking fees, approved extras, discounts and any crew allocation need to be understood separately.

An hourly figure only makes sense when you know which amount it uses and how many hours of whose work it covers. A customer total divided by visit length is not automatically a worker's hourly earnings.

Commission is a progression, not a flat promise

Xoot's approved commission schedule starts at 35% for a new Xooter and has a 20% floor. Lower bands require both completed jobs and the required reliability score. Time on the platform alone does not earn a lower band.

A Xooter should check the band and earnings shown for the actual work. A published progression does not mean a new worker already qualifies for the lowest rate.

The booking fee is separate

The booking fee applies to every non-member booking. Care+ membership waives it. It is not a first-booking-only fee, and booking regularly does not itself remove it. Check the current amount in your booking quote.

Fees and membership rules can change through an approved update. Review the actual booking total before confirmation; use the earnings record to understand the worker's side.

Longer visits need a floor

The approved price ladder does not rise in a simple straight line with hours. Setup and travel happen once, but the worker still gives up the full time. That is why the pricing rules include a long-job hourly floor.

Do not infer an individual payout from an example or assume an extra Xooter costs nothing. The accepted job, current service rules, crew arrangement and earnings record determine the particular calculation. Ask support to explain a mismatch before treating an estimate as a settled amount.

Quick answers

Is the booking fee charged only once?

No. The current approved rule charges it on every non-member booking. Care+ membership is the condition that waives it.

Does every Xooter immediately receive the lowest commission rate?

No. The starting rate is 35%, with lower bands earned through completed jobs and reliability requirements. The approved floor is 20%.
