What four hours actually buys you

A realistic account of what one Xooter finishes in a standard visit — and what they do not.

The Xoot team

Four hours of work, with four hours of expectations

A good visit starts with a realistic brief. Four hours is a time allowance, not a promise that every room, window, cupboard and appliance will be finished regardless of condition. A small, regularly maintained flat and a home that has been empty for months are different jobs.

Tell your Xooter what matters most. If the bathrooms are the priority, put them first in the notes rather than adding them to an already full list at the door.

What a standard visit can focus on

A practical brief covers accessible surfaces, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, dusting and floors. The order and depth depend on the home, the service selected and the time available. Clearing surfaces beforehand gives the visit more room for cleaning.

A full sink, limescale, pet hair and heavy clutter all use time. There is no useful universal minute count for a bathroom: its condition matters as much as its size.

What needs a separate conversation

Inside ovens, difficult windows, a move-out clean and accumulated grime can need extra time or a different service. Do not assume they fit into a standard visit because they are in the same house.

Ordinary cleaning materials and equipment are supplied by the customer unless an approved option says otherwise. Check the selected service and any add-ons before confirming.

Choose the visit around the work

Write down the three things you most want finished. Compare that brief with the time and service in the booking flow. Ask support when the scope is unclear, and review the final quote before committing.

More people and more time are not interchangeable promises. A crew option depends on the selected service, and its confirmed price and scope must be checked in the booking flow.

Quick answers

Will a four-hour clean finish my whole home?

That depends on its size, condition and priorities. Four hours is an allowance of work, not a guarantee that every possible task will be completed.

Should I clear surfaces before the visit?

Yes, where practical. Moving personal items and clearing the sink leaves more of the booked time for cleaning.
